Sofia Härdig Releases Creative Single ‘Illuminate’ From Upcoming LP

Swedish artist Sofia Härdig releases a new creative video for single ‘Illuminate’ from upcoming LP ‘Changing The Order’.

The lead single with deep glowing synths, slow-build guitar rhythms and echoing vocals, is a fitting addition to the 80’s-themed Drive soundtrack.

Lyrically the song explores a loneliness and an endless search, while the accompanying music video – featuring textural loops of illuminated streets and vignette close-ups on Sofia, adds to the song’s exploration of darkness.

The end of the video- perfectly matching the crescendo of positivity that makes an appearance with instrumental part of the song – shows the shots become day lit.

Having worked with major Swedish artists, as well with Yoshimi from Japanese noise-rockers Boredoms and the alternative indie band Free Kitten. Sofia’s experimental nature shines through with her new material that blends rock and electronic influences.

About the author

There’s a lot of music out there - good music. At Essentially Pop our remit is that we cover music that deserves to be heard, with a particular focus on independent artists. That doesn't mean we won't cover your old favourites - rather we hope to give you some new favourites as well.

We no longer accept unpaid PR agency work. We believe the creative arts have value, and this includes writing. As always, we will write about artists who contact us - or who we contact - for free - but we can no longer work free of charge for PR agencies. We work hard, we put in a lot of hours writing, and we ask that you respect that. Contact us for our very reasonable rates.
