HUSHH FT. SHAK releases new EP ‘ELEMENTS’

North London producers Bento and Zeeko work together under the moniker of Hushh, and have recently joined forces with singer songwriter Shak, to produce their new EP, ‘Elements’. Released on 26 March, ‘Elements’ takes its inspiration from the multi-national heritage of the trio, and combines elements of alt pop, electronic, soul, and contemporary disco, with the end result an entrancing aural experience.

Bento and Zeeko met Shak by chance one evening, while looking for somewhere to keep out of the rain. Within a month of this serendipitous encounter, ‘Elements’ was recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered, at Square Suite Studios, East London. The trio take their inspiration from artists such as Ryan Lesley, Damien Marley, Metronomy, and Toro Y Moi, with the music a fusion of contemporary disco and electro synths, while the soulful lyricism touches on aspects of pop. Speaking of the EP, Shak says,

“Each track represents an element, every song is meant to put you in a different space and take you on a journey.”

‘Elements’ is out now through all major media providers. Shak will be releasing a solo EP later this year. Follow Hushh and Shak on Instagram on the following accounts:
