Freja Francis’ Single ‘Papercuts’ Showcases Authentic Vocals Backed By Minimal Instrumentals

Singer-songwriter Freja Francis’ single ‘Papercuts’, which was released in February 2018, is a minimalist piece with a powerful message.

A song about self-inflicted isolation, the track with Freja’s strong vocals and a piano-led melody is emotive, simple and relatable. The soundscape in its simplicity achieves an ethereal feel of a fairy-tale world away from reality.

It showcases, an isolation and distance for fear of being hurt, a feeling that many identify with. This feeling is presented in the simplest and most beautiful way within the track.

In ‘Papercuts’, Freja once again showcases her clear and captivating vocal ability, which soars and stands out amidst the instrumentals.

The track – which also includes a remix by Alex Hughes- is out via ShimmerSun Music.
