Lisa spoke to Seán Ó Corcoráin, aka Outsider, ahead of his performance at the first ever Irish Music Party showcase, held at Dublin’s Workmans Club on 31 March 2018.

Seán, who perfoms with his band under the name Outsider, is the only Irish artist on the #FIFA2018 soundtrack, with the song ‘Míol Mór Mara’. Not only that, but it’s the first instance of a song which includes the Irish language included in any FIFA soundtrack. A high honour, and well deserved.

Outsider’s song, ‘Late Night Radio’, also featured on episode 6, season 2, of US TV show, ‘Shadowhunters’. You can hear it here:

and download it from iTunes.

Lisa talked to Seán in the very dark green room, deep in the bowels of the Workmans Club, Dublin, often drowned out by the rehearsals of the bands above, but nonetheless had a great chat about his music, his influences, and the importance of getting the Irish language heard out there on the wider stage.

You can find Seán and Outsider online on his social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat.
