Dave Sereny – ‘Talk To Me’

The talent of jazz artist Dave Sereny has been spotted by long before he decided to fully throw himself into his art. A producer encouraged his gift for singing and encouraged him to take lessons. Six months later, Dave recorded ‘Talk To Me’, his first track as both instrumentalist and singer.

Even before taking lessons with a vocal coach, Dave had spent years improving his musical talent, studying composition, and arrangement, at the Berklee College Of Music, as well as working with some of the most revered jazz musicians of our time. ‘Talk To Me’ exhibits wonderfully crafted, fully realised composition. It features a deep bass line, saxophone, and striking guitar. His beautiful voice hits both the high and low registers equally, and demonstrates his skill as a vocalist.

The video for ‘Talk To Me’ was set in Dave’s home studio, in Toronto, Canada. It’s also where he runs his independent record label, Groove United. It features cross fades of Dave in his studio, singing, playing guitar, then other shots of him with vocalist Delilah, aka Dave’s partner Betty, singing next to him at the piano.

Dave is working hard on his debut album, of which ‘Talk To Me’ is the first single to be released. You can find out more about Dave Sereny and his music from his official website.
