Acting Natural – ‘Nicole’

New York City trio Acting Natural remind us that the second coming of Rock’N’Roll is upon us with their wonderfully crafted love song, ‘Nicole’.

Bound together by a mutual love of raw and real musicianship, Acting Natural comprises lead singer/guitarist Eric Carnevale, bassist/vocalist James David Maney, and drummer/vocalist Jesse Leanoard. With a wide range of influences from across the full gamut of rock music, including The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and The Beatles, Acting Natural are noted for their three part harmonies. Their song ‘Nicole’ is the perfect introduction to new fans, showcasing their fun loving personalities, style, and world-class musicianship.

Acting Natural first bonded together at the age of 13, and therefore have a surprising number of years under their belt in their musical journey. ‘Nicole‘ is from their 2017 released self-titled EP, which saw them garner the support of radio giant, iHeartMedia, and a subsequent series of “Live Sessions” videos recorded at iHeartRadio HQ, Manhattan. They presented an award at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, and were invited to join the Jingle Ball tour, which put them on stages all over the US.

The lyrics of ‘Nicole’ tell the story of a woman with a strong personality and drop dead gorgeous good looks. She swept Carnevale off his feet, and gave him the best three years of his life. Sadly the relationship ended poorly, but with style and grace the band has turned the experience into a positive one, with a hooky and addictive tune which will be stuck in your head for days.
