SilverStreaks Set To Release New Single – ‘The Polaroid’

London electronic duo SilverStreaks comprise Robert Ellison and Barbara Donner. Their new single, ‘The Polaroid’, is set for release on 12 March.

From Hackney, North London, SilverStreaks imbue their music with simple instrumentation and light and airy vocals. With a sound that comes somewhere between Massive Attack and Radiohead, the piano, combined with percussive sounds such as drums and chimes, works in perfect harmony with the lead and backing vocals. ‘The Polaroid’ is inspired by their heroes – but not in the way the heroes would have hoped to be inspirational; rather, it’s about the illusion which collapses when you grow older and realise that heroes aren’t always the people you thought they were – the way they were portrayed in a polaroid.

SilverStreaks are currently recording new material ahead of touring. You can find them online on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and their official website. Listen to ‘The Polaroid’:
