Alison Moyet To Release Album ‘The Other Live Collection’ 20 April Ahead Of 11 Date UK/Eire Tour With Tears For Fears

Ahead of her special guest appearance for Tears For Fears on their 11 date UK and Ireland arena tour in April and May this year, Alison Moyet has released her new album, ‘The Other Live Collection’, on April 20, through Cooking Vinyl.

The album is the follow up to last year’s release, ‘Other’, an expressively poetic and archly wry collection of electronic vignettes which garnered her media praise from the likes of Q, Mojo, Classic Pop, and Record Collector, and saw her embark in support of the record on a world tour covering 59 shows in 58 cities, including such iconic venues as the Paradiso, Amsterdam, The Filmore, San Francisco, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, and two nights at The London Palladium.

Moyet’s recording career has so far spanned 35 years and seen her win 3 BRITs, and nominated for a Grammy Award for her single, ‘It Won’t Be Long‘.

The Other Live Collection‘ comprises tracks from her entire career, including the airing for the first time of a selection of live recordings of songs from her most recent album, ‘Other‘, as well as reworkings of favourites such as ‘Wish You Were Here’, ‘Ski‘, and ‘The Man in the Wings‘. The album also includes the huge hits ‘Only You (Live)‘, and ‘All Cried Out (Remastered)‘.

Alison Moyet first to prominence as one half of pioneering electronic duo, Yazoo, alongside Vince Clarke. The pair released two massive albums, ‘Upstairs At Erics’, and ‘You And Me Both’, before disbanding at the height of their success. Alison then signed to Columbia Records following a bidding war, and commenced her incredible solo career, which has seen her produce many multi-platinum albums and perform sold-out worldwide tours. She has also performed on stage, including in ‘Chicago – The Musical’, and ‘Smaller’, with Dawn French, for which she wrote the soundtrack. Alison Moyet also performed at Live Aid in 1984, and has won the Nordoff Robbins Icon Award in 2013.
