Myles Marcus – ‘Crazy’

From New Jersey, Myles Marcus started releasing covers on the internet at the age of 13 and by 14 he’d released his first original single, ‘Jump’. From there he started collaborating with Roy “Royalty” Hamilton III, a world-renowned producer, musician, and former director of A&R at Capitol Records, who’s worked with Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, NSYNC, and Cheetah Girls, among others. Myles’ latest single, ‘Crazy’, is out now.

Myles worked with Roy throughout his teens and then went on to attend Berklee College of Music, in Boston, which he described as “four years of songwriting bootcamp.” Roy then signed Myles to a development deal in Toronto, Canada, where he literally lived the starving artist lifestyle – sleeping on a couch, no friends, and only his songs and a dream to keep him going. During this hard time he developed an undying hunger for success in the very unforgiving music industry.

‘Crazy’ tells the tale of two people whose lives intertwine, giving them the highest of highs and the very lowest of lows. Alcohol was thrown into the mix, making the already volatile relationship so much worse: ‘Crazy’ tells of the harsh reality of being involved with someone who struggles with addiction, and growing up in a world that’s been ripped apart under you.

‘Crazy’ was produced by Toronto-based Dusty Chesterfield, who co-wrote the track with Roy Hamilton III, along with Danica Bucci, and of course Myles Marcus. It’s an anthem for those in love with someone suffering from addiction, and a testimony to Myles’ experience. In the music video, Marcus’s love interest can’t put down the bottle for him. Much as she loves him, she simply can’t stop drinking, which in turn makes Myles feel inadequate and powerless, with the thought that she will never change.

‘Crazy’ is a strong and emotive track which speaks much for Myles Marcus’s talent. The track is available to stream and download from Apple Music, and Spotify. You can find Myles Marcus online on SoundCloud, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
