Essential Advent Calendar: Ben And Andy Cover Queen Classic, ‘Save Me’

With their take on the Queen classic, ‘Save Me’, accompanied by their “Alternative ‘Fox & The Mouse’ John Lewis advert”, which has so far racked up over 50,000 views on YouTube, Ben Potts and Andy Green are behind the 10th door of our Essential Advent Calendar.

From Wearside, in North East England, Ben and Andy have got together to release their voice and piano version of Queen’s classic, ‘Save Me’, in an ambitious bid to join other festive campaigns to top the Christmas charts. If anything is equal in this world, then Ben and Andy are in with a lot more than a snowball’s chance of making it.
You can download ‘Save Me’ from iTunes. Check out Ben and Andy singing ‘Save Me’ live:

About the author

There’s a lot of music out there - good music. At Essentially Pop our remit is that we cover music that deserves to be heard, with a particular focus on independent artists. That doesn't mean we won't cover your old favourites - rather we hope to give you some new favourites as well.

We no longer accept unpaid PR agency work. We believe the creative arts have value, and this includes writing. As always, we will write about artists who contact us - or who we contact - for free - but we can no longer work free of charge for PR agencies. We work hard, we put in a lot of hours writing, and we ask that you respect that. Contact us for our very reasonable rates.
