Anthony Maragni Releases New Single ‘Lost Faith’ From Album ‘Obliteration City’

Anthony Maragni released his album ‘Obliteration City’ only a few months ago, but already the attention is being drawn to his single, ‘Lost Faith’, which Anthony cites as being influenced by a mix of genres, but in particular, jazz and rock.

The 27 year old singer songwriter from Long Island, New York, has been writing poetry, as well as songs, for as long as he can remember, using his life experiences as his source material, thereby creating deeply personal music. ‘Lost Faith’, is just one of the many thought provoking tracks from ‘Obliteration City’, and deals with the compromises that take place, once a relationship starts to break down.

Taking his inspiration from the likes of Black Flag, Billie Holiday, and even Slayer, Maragni’s distinctive voice is deep and gravelly, calling to the mind of this listener the vocals of Nick Cave and Ian Curtis. Lyrically and sonically, we’re reminded of Morrissey and The Smiths. All in all, Anthony Maragni has a sound of his very own.
