Terry Ohms – ‘Ghost’

In 2009 Vulture Whale hit the indie rock scene with the music video for their track, ‘Sugar’. Now their frontman Wes McDonald is back, with his new project and alter-ego, Terry Ohms. Terry’s single, ‘Ghost’, and the accompanying video, showcases just how far he’s come along on the winding road of his career.

Terry Ohms started as a side-project to Vulture Whale, who were early leaders in the burgeoning Birmingham Alabama underground scene. With a new wave of creativity, McDonald put out his first solo effort: ‘Terry Ohms Plays Wes McDonald’, and started cleverly using his alter-ego as a character in his musical legacy: Wes McDonald became Terry Ohms. As Terry he released two records in the following years: the ‘Terry Ohms Gets Emotional’ EP, and ‘What Do You Mean, What Do I Mean?’

‘Ghost’ is the first single from Terry Ohms’ new EP, ‘A Lot More Than Enough’, which is out on October 13. The video for ‘Ghost’ shows Ohms dancing freely wearing a bike helmet, being conscious of safety of course – while the world around him spins wildly. As the song progresses, we realise that Ohms is battling the world around him, all the while losing himself in the track. Add to that the entire video is in negative colouration, the track has a super-trippy vibe altogether.
