Parisa’s debut was highly anticipated by her fans, and a few days before the single was released, she announced her single in a tweet:

After a long awaited two years! My first single ‘Stupid’ is here! I’ve worked so hard to get this out for you!”

Before embarking on her solo career, Parisa was a member of band called Only The Young, along with other members Charlie George, Betsy-Blue English, and Mikey Bromley.

The band appeared on UK television show, ‘X Factor’ in 2014, finishing in seventh place. They followed this up as part of that year’s ‘X Factor Live Tour’ around the UK and Ireland and later released their hit single ‘I Do’ in 2015, before finally splitting in November 2015 to pursue solo careers.

Parisa released a music video for ‘Nothing Personal’, but unfortunately the single did not become an official release.

Nothing Personal *OFFICIAL VIDEO* (high quality)

Although it doesn’t yet have a music video, ‘Stupid’ provides an insight into Parisa’s upcoming EP, which is eagerly anticipated by fans, as the perfect release as a debut single. The very meaningful lyrics focus on a bad relationship, of being stuck in a cycle and being forgotten. Although technically a pop song, ‘Stupid’ should appeal to fans of most genres.  We are obsessed with ‘Stupid’ and cannot wait to see the music video!

‘Stupid’ is avaiable to download from iTunes and to stream on Spotify.
