Shinobi Ninja ‘What If Times’ Music Video Conveys Profound Optimistic Message

Shinobi Ninja | Image courtesy of puregrainaudio.comBrooklyn-based band Shinobi Ninja’s music video ‘What If Times’ features colourful imagery, upbeat vocals and an inspiring message.

Filmed from beginning to end on a cellphone, the video features children, in an effort to instil confidence in youth right from their prime.

In symbolic connection with the message of the song to love yourself and others, the band’s female lead Baby G is shown wearing a t-shirt that reads “Love Yourself”.

The 6-member band, who draw inspiration from various music genres – rock, hip-hop, funk, reggae, EDM and much more – was formed in 2008 and released their fourth album ‘Bless Up’ in March 2017.

With the ability to convey thought-provoking messages without compromising artistic talents, Shinobi Ninja is refreshingly reflecting who they are in their work without any gimmicks.

About the author

There’s a lot of music out there - good music. At Essentially Pop our remit is that we cover music that deserves to be heard, with a particular focus on independent artists. That doesn't mean we won't cover your old favourites - rather we hope to give you some new favourites as well.

We no longer accept unpaid PR agency work. We believe the creative arts have value, and this includes writing. As always, we will write about artists who contact us - or who we contact - for free - but we can no longer work free of charge for PR agencies. We work hard, we put in a lot of hours writing, and we ask that you respect that. Contact us for our very reasonable rates.
