Ted Addic Releases LP ‘Idubology Vol.1’

From the inner western suburbs of Sydney comes Ted Addic, an Emcee who has been hard at work producing a new mix of trap-rap ahead of his first LP release. He’s also been filming several new music videos, with ‘IDUBOLOGY VOL. 1’ a powerful exploration of topics such as drug criminalisation, to Ted Addic’s advocacy of weed culture.

Inspired by artists such as Future, Famous Dex, and $uicide Boys, is unique in Sydney’s trap culture, and is steadily making a name for himself in the area. His latest music video, ‘Krispy Kreme’ was recently released on his Ted Addic VEVO channel, and is a glorious blue and pink film with a shadowy woman, played by dancer Montana Tomkyns, and Ted Addic rhyming about the struggles dancers and musicans face when pursuing a career in the arts. Tomkyns’ routine starts as a striptease style, but also incorporates ballet positions, inspired by Ted’s younger brother, who is a ballet dancer.

Speaking about his album, Ted Addic says,

“VOL 1. focuses predominantly on the struggles and situations presented to any individual living through the ‘darker side of life’. I always felt the Inner West produced great music but not to my personal style and mindset.”

‘IDUBOLOGY VOL. 1′ was produced by Colourd Noyz, with production feature from local and international producers including Sinks, GRAND W3BZ (AU) and RealFresh, Just Beats and Ric & Thadius (US). The video for Krispy Kreme’ was directed and edited by lueylueyluey (also the creative and art director), and shot by Kent Marcus.

Ted Addic hopes to instil a greater sense of pride with regard to other Australian trap artists.

You can find Ted Addic online on Facebook and YouTube, and stream his music on Spotify.
