Peppermint Heaven – ‘More Like Me’

‘More Like Me’ is the first track from Peppermint Heaven’s new album, ‘Curious Things’, the follow up to their debut album, ‘Precious Things’.

‘More Like Me’ once again channels the 80s sound, this time having a “coffee percolator” style backbeat, reminiscent of Dead Or Alive’s ‘You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)’. The track was released on August 18.

Los Angeles based Juno & Spark, performing as Peppermint Heaven, have been bringing their unique 80s style indie-pop to their cult following for the past six years, and ‘More Like Me’ is a welcome return for those of us who missed their New Order-like stylings. The duo have a truly vintage sound, yet at the same time remaining solidly fixed in the present in terms of lyrics and production, while making solid use of reverb guitar, and funky bass.

‘More Like Me’ is available now, ahead of the Autumn release of ‘Curious Things’. You can find Peppermint Heaven online on their official website, Facebook,  Twitter, Tumblr, Google Plus, and  Soundcloud.
