Essentially Pop Meets: Circuit3

During Essentially Pop’s recent Irish Roadshow, Lisa talked to Peter Fitzpatrick, who performs as Circuit3.

Peter’s music has been described as “a stunning mix of synthy electropop songs, all lovingly wrapped up in bleeps beats and synthy ear candy” and his debut album, ‘siliconchipsuperstar’ released as limited edition coloured vinyl, 2 CD set, and digital download, performed so well that he decided to also release the album on cassette, which also sold well. It’s testimony to the quality of Peter’s music, and his ability to put his finger on the musical pulse of what people want to hear, not to mention his gift of being able to promote himself effectively, that sees Peter doing so well.

For his latest project, Peter collaborated with various other artists on a limited numbered edition of ‘All I Ever Knew’, designed to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the release of the Yazoo album, ‘Upstairs At Eric’s’. An ambitious project, they re-recorded the album, which sold out very soon after its release this month.

Lisa and Peter talked about his music, his inspirations, who include Thomas Dolby and Vince Clarke, and how he came to meet former member of Kraftwerk, Wolfgang Flür, who said,

“I am currently working on a remix for Circuit3 and had the pleasure of listening to the finished album…..wow! Best album I have heard in the past 10 years”

You can find more information about Circuit3 online on his official website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. ‘siliconchipsuperstar’ is available from Spotify and Bandcamp.

We’ve got ONE COPY of Circuit3’s album, ‘siliconchipsuperstar’ to give away! The prize includes a record on blue vinyl, as well as a double CD.
