Modern Sky UK Releases Four-Track Sampler To Celebrate Its Creation

In celebration of its creation, Modern Sky UK, sister company to Modern Sky Beijing, has launched an ultra cool 10” vinyl sampler featuring a variety of artists – Catholic Action, Violet Youth, FUSS and Pixey.

Available on Spotify, four-track release combines the energy of Catholic Action’s ‘Doing Well’ with the ambience of Violet Youth’s ‘Lucid Dreams’, delving into the distorted world of FUSS with ‘Fluff’, finishing off with the effervescent fizz of Pixey’s ‘Hometown’.

As a homage to Chinese parent company Modern Sky Entertainment the vinyl records come in a range of different coloured sleeves- each colour inspired by the Chinese elements. The script on the front of the sleeve is written in braille- to symbolize leading the blind into the light.

The record echoes the previously stated Modern Sky ethos about bringing together passionate artists who are driven about spreading their music to an equally passionate audience.

David Pichilingi, CEO of Modern Sky UK states

“the ethos of our label is to bring back a strong sense of love, passion and deeply sarcastic humour into everything we do. From the music through to the typography. In a world of mediocrity, we want to be a beacon for the right kind of artists and bands.”

All artists featuring on the Label sampler will also play a very special ModernSky UK Late Night Label Party at Liverpool Sound City.
