Twitter are excited to partner with Brisbane-based band Sheppard, giving you the chance to join in the fun and send in your own fantastic video inspired by the original, for ‘Edge Of The Night’. This could lead onto you and your friends being featured in a fan-made, special edition of the video.
The official version of Sheppard’s sharp-witted ‘Edge Of The Night’ video, sees the band cast as office workers ready to cut loose at the end of a hard-working week. Choreography, humour and ultimately a party follow as the band perform their ode to letting your hair down. With over 50 million impressions and counting, the video has been a world-wide hit.
Get together with your workmates, school friends, family and friends or go solo. Shoot your short Edge Of The Night-inspired video and upload it to Twitter tagging @wearesehppard, and the hashtag #EOTN.
Each week the band will pick out the best entries and pull them together in a Twitter Moments story to send you dancing your way into the weekend. The Fan-Made Special Edition of the ‘Edge Of The Night’ video, will be revealed for the first time during a one-off live broadcast and event on Thursday 31st August 2017. Speaking from the UK where Sheppard have just completed a massive 16 date arena tour supporting Little Mix, George Sheppard said,

The fun kicks off when members of the band reveal to fans how to get involved via a live broadcast from Twitter’s Blue Room in London. The broadcast on Monday 24th July at 11am will be hosted on Sheppard’s Official Twitter Account.

Sheppard have also just revealed a latin re-work of their latest hit, ‘Edge Of The Night’, featuring Colombian hitmaker Sebastián Yatra. Listen here.
Yatra is one of the hottest new talents in Latin America having recently signed globally to Universal Music, and has hit over 6.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. No slouch themselves in the Latin American territories, Sheppard’s ‘Geronimo’ went platinum in Mexico and was a massive hit throughout the region, resulting in a blistering performance at the world’s largest music festival, Brazil’s Rock In Rio. Sheppard recently completed a UK tour supporting Little Mix, and closed the Barclaycard Stage before Justin Bieber took to the main stage at London’s BST. The band also played two headline shows of their own in both Glasgow and London. ‘Edge Of The Night’ proved to be a huge hit with their new-found fans.
