Light It Up Releases Must-Hear Cover Of Halsey’s ‘Eyes Closed’

New England alternative rock band Light It Up shows off the power of transformation in their newest release, an edgy version of Halsey’s ‘Eyes Closed’.

The Connecticut quartet comprises Gina Fritz, Julian LaFace, Ryan Clini, and Kevin Gonzalez, with lead vocalist Gina putting on a wickedly compelling performance, and their version of ‘Eyes Closed’ is the first taste of their new sound. With a soft intro, slick guitar licks, and a solid combination of pop and alternative, Light It Up successfully creates a unique sound that has something for any type of listener. They say about their cover:

“We are super excited to to release our cover of ‘Eyes Closed’ by one of our favourite artists, Halsey. From the minute we heard the song we knew it was a perfect way to transition ourselves to the “new” Light It Up. Keep your eyes and ears open for tons of new content coming from us this summer!”

Light It Up is a five piece female fronted alternative rock band from the suburbs of New Haven, Connecticut. Although they only started in September 2016 Light It Up is making a name for themselves, with a strong following on social media and being featured on one of Connecticut’s number one radio station. In addition, Light It Up has a few tours under their belt and have also supported national touring acts such as We The Kings, Hawthorne Heights, Metro Station and Cute Is What We Aim For, among others.

‘Eyes Closed’ is available to download from iTunes, and Amazon, and stream on Spotify. You can find Light It Up online on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, as well as their official merch store.
