Danny Ayala (Of The Lemon Twigs) Announces Debut Solo Project ‘Dr Danny’

Best known for his work with The Lemon Twigs, Danny Ayala has announced his debut solo project, ‘Dr Danny’, with his new single, ‘Nothing But Love’, out soon.

Born in Long Island New York, Dr Danny started his musical career at an early age, and rapidly revealed his incredible talent. He met brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario at an elementary school talent show, where they quickly realised Danny’s skills, and he joined them, and fellow schoolmate Megan Zeanowski, in making music together as the band, The Lemon Twigs.

Danny still performs with The Yellow Twigs, but has announced his side project, and will debut his first EP, ‘Lay It On Me Straight’, this summer. ‘Nothing But Love’, as well as all the other tracks on the EP, feature performances by the D’Addario brothers.

‘Lay It On Me Straight’ is a very 60s-70s influenced EP, with ‘Nothing But Love’ channelling Queen, The Sweet, and 10cc.

The Lemon Twigs are currently touring across the US before moving across to Europe, starting with Glastonbury on June 23. Find out further dates and information here.
