Colette Kavanagh – ‘Once In A Lifetime’

Irish singer songwriter Colette Kavanagh writes songs with intimately personal lyrics, accompanied by heartfelt music. The new video for her latest song, ‘Once In A Lifetime’, is an emotive and true to the heart clip, with a twist at the end.

Colette’s soothing voice which has clearly been influenced by the likes of singers such as Julie London and Karen Carpenter, has been described by Byron Harris from Indie Spoonful as “a tender, sweet voice that is warm and inviting.”

The storyline of the video for ‘Once In A Lifetime’ is a tale of two lovers, the kind of love that comes “once in a lifetime”. Two musicians – a handsome guitarist and a beautiful ukulele player, seem destined to stay together forever. Things take a turn for the worse though when the pair have a fight in the car, and he gets out…and is hit by a car. Within a sequence of flashbacks to happier times, it’s revealed that the spot was where he proposed to his lady love. Bitter sweet memories come flooding back and the viewer is left torn.
