Ashley Lanzoni – ‘Lips Are Movin’

Moving with her family to from Boston to New York City to pursue her dreams, 12 year old Ashley Lanzoni is probably far more career focused than most adults. Having worked on the stage and in commercials, as well as being a host for Walden TV, and appearing in feature films, Ashley is also involved in community service and fundraising. Her star is certainly rising.

Ashley’s cover of Meghan Trainor’s ‘Lips Are Moving’ shows her in a variety of retro outfits, in keeping with the 50s/60s theme of the song. Ashley goes on the “Worst.Date.EVRRR!!!” with a boy who keeps ignoring her, focusing rather on another girl’s texts. She returns home to her sympathetic real-life sister Haley, and Maltese breed dog, Zoe. Ashley goes to Coney Island, singing and dancing along the boardwalk, with Haley and their friends. Later at Grand Central Station, the boy tries to apologise, but Ashley gives him short shrift and sings, “I might be young, but I ain’t stupid”.

Ashley’s voice is clear and pure, and she makes no pretences to be anything other than she is, a 12 year old girl. It’s fun, bright, and happy, and a perfectly upbeat treat.
