‘Welcome To The Club’ – New Hope Club’s Debut EP A Fantastic Introduction

New Hope Club released their debut EP, ‘Welcome To The Club’ on 5 May, as they started out on their Arena tour supporting The Vamps. It’s four high quality songs which will get you up out of your seat and dancing around the room.

Opening with ‘Fixed’, for which the band released a video only yesterday, we are left in no doubt as to where NHC want to lead us. The trio, comprising Blake Richardson, George Smith, and Reece Bibby, all still only in their teens, have a confidence, which, under the mentorship of The Vamps, should see them through for as long as they want to continue.

‘Fixed’ is boppy and packed-full of close harmonies, a nice segue into the more uptempo ‘Water’, which again makes use of the trio’s harmonies, and adds a more of an electronic element to their already high quality guitar playing.

‘Friend Of A Friend’ continues this theme, with an electronic vocal refrain, and catchy lyrics such as “Friend of a friend/feels like 11:11” will stay in your head long after the song is over.

The EP draws to a close with the excellent ‘Perfume’, their first single, released late last year. Each member takes their turn singing, and drawing it altogether on the chorus, again with their tight harmonies, which should definitely become their USP.

‘Welcome To The Club’ is available now to download from iTunes and stream on Spotify. You can see New Hope Club tonight supporting The Vamps at London’s O2 Arena. Further dates are as follows:

16.5.17 – Cardiff, The Motorpoint Arena

17.5.17 – Nottingham, Motorpoint Arena

19.5.17 – Birmingham, Genting Arena
