The Force MD’s – ‘Don’t Rush’

Legendary Staten Island artists, The Force MD’s are back with the video for ‘Don’t Rush’, the first single from their new album, ‘Fly With You’.

Formed way back in 1981, The Force MD’s got their start on the famous Staten Island ferry, where they met radio personality and influential producer, Mr Magic, who took them into the office of Tommy Boy Records, where he signed them on the spot. The group are pioneers in the hip hop/soul movement, and are known for their hits ‘Tender Love’ (from their 1985 album, ‘Chillin’) and 1987s ‘Love Is A House’.

‘Don’t Rush’ has been described by Urban Insite as “A fine return to form of a vocal group that adeptly distills the essence of soul”. Similarly, SoulTracks praises the group’s “always impeccable harmonies”.

The video for ‘Don’t Rush’ shows the members of the group separately leading their ladies around New York City. In each case, they eventually end up in their candlelit bedrooms. It’s a very seductive video, showcasing The Force MD’s considerable singing abilities, and the song will appeal to a broad spectrum of musical tastes.
