Ellie Keegan Gives Us Some ‘Heat’ With New Single

Nottingham artist Ellie Keegan releases her debut single, ‘Heat’, on 8 April. The singer songwriter has had a busy summer performing at festivals including Splendour, Y Not, and Riverside.

Ellie is concentrating her efforts on her upcoming EP, while at the same time studying at Liverpool’s Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). Accompanied by her acoustic guitar, which she accentuates during her live shows with the addition of a loop pedal and stomp box, Ellie’s style is strong and passionate, and reflects the influence of Ed Sheeran, one of many artists she’s inspired by.

Ellie has been performing for four years, with her raw lyrics and melodies attracting the attention of BBC Radio Nottingham DJ, Dean Jackson. Jackson selected her to feature in a BBC Introducing session in 2015, which garnered over 40,000 views. She has since played many festivals as part of BBC Introducing, including The Quarry stage at Y Not Festival, and the Brewdog stage, at Hockley Hustle.
