DJ SirTaj – ‘All Day’

Originally from India, Tajinder Singh, performing as DJ SirTaj, arrived in Atlanta Georgia in 1991. A graduate music engineer who styles his sound as “Punjabi-hop”, DJ SirTaj is an all-round artists taking his adopted home town by storm. ‘All Day’, with its catchy gloomy keyboard, and dance-inducing beats, is the perfect example of SirTaj’s tunes.

Not a newcomer to the performing scene, DJ SirTaj performed in several cultural happenings between 1993 and 2001, and founded his record label and studio, “TRIPPPLE P ENTERTAINMENT’ in Decatur, Georgia, in 2007, once he had graduated. The “Trippple P” stands for “Pure Punjabi Playaz” and the label also includes Gourav Singh Raina, who performs as NDN. Together they carefully produce sounds and cadences of different cultures, bringing together a fresh and unique sound for their listeners. DJ SirTaj is currently working on the soundtrack for a movie in India, for which he also serves as an executive producer.

The video for ‘All Day’ is typical of hip hop clips, with the cash, expensive cigars, and swagger, while at the same time blending Punjabi lyrics with trap grooves and a boastful swagger. Bright colours and a distinctly Indian flavour makes ‘All Day’ a feast for both the eyes and ears.
