ZODIAK “Don’t Be Debbie”

ZODIAK is a five piece group from Washington DC who bring their “mumbo-funk” style to the world with their new song, ‘Don’t Be Debbie’.

The group first came together with their love of pure funk and soul music, and are on a mission to give their audience a mesmerising experience of elation and familiarity. They burst onto the scene just over a year ago, releasing their debut album, ‘Basement Brew’, in January 2016. Nonetheless, the group brings forth their sweet soulful sound, and their latest track, ‘Don’t Be Debbie’, aspires to light a fire under its listeners, inspiring positive vibes.

The central character of the song is a gorgeous, yet downtrodden woman, whose personality takes on the characteristics of a “Debbie Downer”. The video shows the band performing nonchalantly in the background, with one of them following Debbie, trying to get to see the positive in her situation. The song is an uplifting call-to-action, and the pop-rock-funk fusion vibes keep the listener fully involved.

‘Don’t Be Debbie’ is available to download from iTunes. You can find ZODIAK online on their official website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Soundcloud.
