Mark The Hammer and PC Patton – ‘Never Stay Down’

With their group, TeamBSRMusic, Mark The Hammer and PC Patton are determined to create the greatest possible music and videos to accompany their affirmative message.

Their new track, ‘Never Stay Down’ contains the same promise of strength, spirituality, and positivity that they aim to spread every day. A simple, synth-filled loop combined with a soulful delivery, gives a clear insight into their wide variety of personal and musical inspirations.

TeamBSRMusic sees as their purpose to bring real hip-hop to the attention of the greater world, and show that rap music can be seen as something positive. Mark The Hammer, in his former life as “Locsta” Marcos Jaquez, beat a life of addiction and gangs and through his new found faith uses his wordsmith talents to reach people who are still deep in the same lifestyle he’s been released from. Michael “PC” Patton also features on the track. PC is the CEO of TeamBSRMusic, and sees as his purpose bringing back “true” hip-hop to the masses. He’s graced the stage with many different artists including T-Bone, Pyrexx KB (Reach Records), Suzy Rock, and also 2 Pac’s sister, Set Shakur – among many many more.

The track, ‘Never Stay Down’, comes with a cinematically humble video, bringing the important message of standing tall, helped by faith, no matter how often negative influences try and push you down. The clip shows people struggling with happy lives, and the lyrics convey how faith lifts people up, with Mark The Hammer and PC Patton delivering the touch of their spirituality to strangers, helping them to overcome their issues. A chain reaction ensues, with those they’ve helped, helping others in turn.
