Formed after playing in various acts together over the past ten years, The Forgotten 45s, consists of Nolan McSheridan on Vocals, Michael Rossi on Guitar and Vocal Harmonies, Cosmo Mailhot on Bass, and David Gies on Drums.
The quartet decided to join forces three years ago, and have in that time played several hundreds of gigs. Although they have a shared love of 60s pop (especially The Beatles), The Forgotten 45s also take as their inspiration more modern influences, from the likes of Built To Spill, Pavement, Death Cab For Cutie, and Teenage Fanclub.
The Seattle Washington band have found regional success in the relatively short time they have been playing together, and have conducted several local radio station studio sessions, as well as having their first single, ‘Pink Azaleas’, feature in the independent film, ‘The Space Between’, written and directed by Amy Jo Johnson, and starring Michael Cram and Michael Ironside. The band was also invited to perform their single at the film’s premiere, at the Carmel International Film Festival.
‘In Case You Forgot’ is a gorgeous album, comprising elements of 1960s sounds, and reflecting the band’s evident talent. Highlights include the beautiful close harmonies on ‘Ms Kuhle’, which is accompanied by an official music video.
