Tokyo Tea Room – ‘Worlds Apart’

Canterbury band Tokyo Tea Room are back with their psychedelic style and a new single, ‘Worlds Apart’.

A dreamy, ethereal, guitar-led piece, ‘Worlds Apart’ is the follow up to their debut EP, ‘Key Philosophy’, which spawned the singles, ‘Sleep’, and ‘Like A Drug’. The band have received considerable attention due to these releases, including BBC Introducing, who chose them to play at the By The Sea Festival, which saw them perform alongside such acts as Wolf Alice, The Mystery Jets, and Super Furry Animals.

The band comprises Beth Plumb, Daniel Elliott, Ben Marshall, Sam Teather, and Graham Nunn, and was originally started in 2014 as the recording project of Daniel. Their unique sound is a blend of psych and rock, and combines fuzzy guitar tones with deep vocals and melodic basslines.

You can find out more about Tokyo Tea Room on their Twitter and Facebook pages. Check out their music online on Spotify, Soundcloud, and iTunes.

Tokyo Tea Room will be performing at Ramsgate Music Hall on January 12, supporting The Moonlandingz. Get tickets here.
