RAD – ‘When It Rains (I Run)’

It’s a long way from being a snowboard instructor and hospitality guru, but Sheldon Wiley, under the moniker RAD, in his new incarnation as DJ Producer, has released a fresh new track, ‘When It Rains (I Run)’.

Featuring the vocals of Ellie Madison, the track was penned in under an hour when Sheldon sat down with his girlfriend, who inspired the lyrics. RAD is driven by constant self-motivation to produce and wakes up every morning to test his own limits – a skill he no doubt learned when he was a snowboard instructor.

RAD worked with various artists, learning, collaborating, improving all the time, and keeping busy exploring new techniques and equipment, then continuing by fusing genres and sub-genres.

RAD moved from the South Western US to New York City where he focussed his career shift, in order to move from full-time music producer to prime time DJ. This has seen him work one-on-one with some of New York’s elite, including JP Solis, co-founder of Dubspot and Noise 212, and DJ Precision, twice the winner of the DMC World Championships.

RADs influences include RL Grime, Kanye West, The Chainsmokers, Disclosure, Baauer, and Odesza.

Find out more about RAD online on his Twitter, Instagram, and Soundcloud, as well as his official website. ‘When It Rains (I Run)’ can be downloaded from iTunes.
