Melbourne dream pop band Frida announce the release of their new single, ‘Everything (Is You)’. The song is the first track from their forthcoming EP, ‘I Want In Your Head’, set to come out 25 November.

The hypnotic track was recorded and produced by the band in their new Collingwood studio, which they share with Plastic, The Cactus Channel, and Alex Lahey, the latter of whom they joined for the Victorian shows on her recent national ‘B-Grade University’ EP tour.

‘Everything (Is You)’, is soothing, laid back and chill, with a California psych trance vibe, the sweet vocals of lead singer Eilish Gilligan tripping lightly over the gently waving instrumentation. The track is noted for its mechanical synths, a heaving groove, and the simple chorus, “Stay here til morning, everything is you” gently unnerves.

It’s been a big year so far for Frida. As well as writing and recording, they played a string of festival shows in Singapore, as well as released their second single, ‘Limbo’, the followup to ‘Slowly’. ‘Limbo’ garnered a lot of praise from the likes of Triple J, Double J, and Spotify.

‘Everything (Is You)’, is available on Bandcamp, Soundcloud, Spotify, iTunes, and Apple Music. Their EP, ‘I Want In Your Head’, is out November 25.

You can find Frida online on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and their official website.
