Erich Mrak Releases ‘Float’ Ahead Of New EP

Originally from Ottawa but now based in Toronto, Pop/Rap artist Erich Mrak has released his new single, ‘Float’, from his upcoming EP, ‘Healed’.

‘Float’ is a dry, half-spoken half-sung track, reminiscent of Lou Reed – accompanied by a head-bobbingly catchy tune. The strong backbeat and 60s style music lures you in and will cause you to press that replay button.

It’s hard to believe that Erich is still only 21, but the artist has a lot of history behind him, and started writing his own music at the age of just seven. He says he always seeks new heights, pushing the limits, and embracing new challenges – this he does by recording music, writing, and instrumental production.

The uptempo music of ‘Float’ belies the true message of the song, which is that of an unstable, sparse relationship, which took place over the course of a year. Produced by Bento, it’s Erich’s first release since his four-track EP, ‘Retrospect’.

Check out Erich Mrak online on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. ‘Float’ is available to download from iTunes, and stream on Apple Music, and Spotify. A video for ‘Float’ will be out next month.
