Hi-Five Release New Track ‘Kit Kat’

Hi-Five, originally from Waco, Texas formed in 1989, and were signed to Jive Records. They had a massive hit in the 90s, with ‘I Like The Way (Kissing Game)’. It reached number 1 on both the pop & R&B charts, and put them up there with artists such as R. Kelly and Boyz II Men. They took it one step further with their self-titled debut album, which smashed platinum sales and followed the success with singles, ‘Keep It Goin’ On’, and ‘Faithful’. Their music is still in demand, with tracks like ‘Unconditional Love’ and ‘I Can’t Wait Another Minute’ in regular rotation.

The band disbanded in 1994, and have since had the tragedy of the death founding member, Tony Thompson, in 2007. In 2012, three of the original members, Treston Irby, Shannon Gill, and Marcus Sanders reformed the band, with two new members, Andre Ramseur (aka Dre Wonda) and Faruq Evans. Ramseur later left, and was replaced by Billy Covington.

Now they’re based in New York City, and are signed to Treston Irby’s label, Bronx Most Wanted Entertainment. With the release of their new single, ‘Kit Kat’, the band wants to show off their new formation to the world, and do so with aplomb: both the song and accompanying video are very sexy, with the innuendo-heavy lyrics leaving the listener in no doubt as to what’s going on.

The video showcases the talents of each member in turn, both in musical, and “behind closed doors” performance. The sweet, close harmonies and R&B vibes make ‘Kit Kat’ the perfect track for a romantic evening.

‘Kit Kat’ is available to download from iTunes and Amazon. You can find out more information about Hi-Five on Bronx Most Wanted’s website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
