MAAD follows up her previous release, ‘Sweet & Low’ with her new single, ‘Black Ice’. Drawing inspiration from the disco-funk era, ‘Black Ice’ is a modern twist on the genre, giving a latter day pop edge to a classic sound.

MAAD’s vocals are entrancing and mesmerising, and the accompanying video, featuring a sexy dance routine is no less compelling. Set in an open warehouse, the video takes MAAD from a chair, all alone, in the centre of the room, and introduces a team of dancers who groove and grind to the music. All the while, MAAD keeps the viewer enthralled, with her magnetic gaze drawing us to keep watching.

‘Black Ice’ is not just the song, but the video too, and it’s the perfect promotional tool for MAAD, who is not just a singer/songwriter, but a model as well. It’s no wonder that she has seen support from the likes of mtvU and BET.
