Born and raised in Canada, Chelsea Shag nonetheless found her voice in Atlanta, Georgia, where she has recently debuted her album, ‘Colours’, on Madison Records.

‘New Perfume’, her latest release from the album, showcases both her considerable vocal, guitar playing, and songwriting talents. It exhibits her vibrant unique personality, that is in direct contrast to a music industry which is notoriously formulaic.

Chelsea’s smooth jazz-infused vocals and her Fender Stratocaster make this brightly coloured video both fun and funky, as she stands atop a Volkswagen bus, which at first glance looks like the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine. ‘New Perfume’ ends on a high note with Chelsea and the band and a cast of thousands (give or take) cheering.  It’s got complex yet catchy guitar vibes, while at the same time taking inspiration from many different genres, not just sticking to rock or pop, or even country – but blending them all to make her very own sound.
