In a witty approach to albums, Sydney born, now LA residing singer songwriter Iona has announced her debut release, ‘My Greatest Hits EP’. It’s set to come out today, July 8.

The EP features the lead singles, ‘Taking Me Under’ and ‘Thunder Come’, with the latter out on 17 July. ‘Taking Me Under’, featuring Kevin Davy White, was released in February this year, receiving critical acclaim from fans and critics alike.

Iona has garnered high praise since moving to Los Angeles, where her gorgeously laid back breathy style has been compared to the likes of Chet Faker, Florence & The Machine, and Ellie Goulding.

‘My Greatest Hits EP’ was produced  by Simon Tew and Stavros Potamitis, of S2 Production House, while Iona also worked on her track, ‘Lullaby’, with producer and songwriter, Billy Harvey, known for his work with Patty Griffin and the Dixie Chicks. ‘Thunder Come’ is one of five tracks on the EP, and is written about letting go of the past in order to move forward.

‘My Greatest Hits EP’ is available on iTunes.

London fans can see Iona live at the prestigious 100 Club on July 15, where she will be supporting Sian Evans. Tickets are available here.
