Drawing from her own personal experiences, Natalie Jean is set to release her fourth album, ‘Unafraid’, on July 8.

The award-winning Haitian-American singer songwriter has had her style compared to both Ellie Goulding and Nina Simone – an eclectic mix that reflects her ability to combine both modern and classic elements to her music. Previous release, ‘Looking Back’, soared to the Top 5 of the Soundcloud Pop Charts, and ‘Unafraid’, Natalie seems set to repeat this.

A skilled songwriter who is able also to sing in French, Spanish and Creole as well as English, Natalie has won many awards around the world for her singing and songwriting, and been nominated for many more. Recently Natalie won “Best Jazz Song” in the Hollywood Songwriting Contest.

Tackling relationship experiences, ‘Unafraid’ will strike a chord with Natalie’s fans, who already make a strong connection with her music. Her passion shines through her songs, which is part of her philosophy, that music has a uniting power – “Music is the only space in time, where people seem to get along”.

Natalie Jean cites her inspirations as including Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, two singers who also had a strong connection to their music.

Be sure to watch out for ‘Unafraid’, which will be released on July 8. Lucky fans in Washington DC can also see Natalie perform live on the 14th of July as part of “Art On 8th”. See here for further details.
