Venus Demilo Are Not ‘Sinking Ships’ With New Single Release

We covered Liverpool indie band, Venus Demilo, back in December when they released their single, ‘Sophia’. Now they’re back with their new track, ‘Sinking Ships’.

With a depth and feel reminiscent of Bombay Bicycle Club and Foals, ‘Sinking Ships’ tells a story anyone can relate to. According to Tom Anderson, the band’s songwriter, the track was written for all those people who are tired of having others ask them what they’re going to do with their lives:

“It’s about gauging some perspective and not letting the struggles that lie ahead ruin what’s happening right now.”

The band already received overwhelming support from BBC Introducing Merseyside, and Hype Machine, among others, as well as having supported artists such as The Pigeon Detectives, and Johnny Foreigner.

Venus Demilo were founded by Tom Anderson (vocals/guitar), Reuben Hobson (lead guitar), Christopher Connor (bass) and Ryan Williams (drums) in 2014.

You can find the band on Facebook, Twitter, and their website.
