Brandon James first discovered his passion for singing at age 12, when he was encouraged to get involved in school projects as a means of staying out of trouble. Now the singer is set to conquer the world, with his style which takes the best of Opera, Sacred songs, Gospel, Blues, Pop, and R&B, and blends them into something of his very own. He’s a gifted songwriter, and draws influence from Luther Vandross, Lyfe Jennings, and Donnie Hathaway, as well as more diverse artists such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Brandon James attended Columbia College, Chicago, where he studied for his degree in Music Performance and Music Business, graduating in 2009. That same year he was given the opportunity to perform with the legendary, Earth Wind and Fire. It’s through learning experiences like these that Brandon has developed his unique sound, and dynamic stage presence, and he decided to take things a step further when he formed a band, The 409s, while at the same time maintaining his solo career.
