Jack Conman – ‘Misty Central’

Jack Conman 2

18 year old singer songwriter Jack Conman released his debut single, ‘Misty Central’, earlier this month. It’s a sultry sounding song, accompanied by an evocative video, featuring blindfolds, wheat, and bows and arrows…and an underlying message of trust.

The song’s lyrics explore the grey areas of a relationship: heading into an ambiguous future, the unknown becomes the metaphorical “misty central” of the title. The melancholy guitars and Jack’s yearning vocals drive home this sense of uncertainty.

Jack was already a talented drummer before turning his hand to the guitar. This has given him a unique playing style, where every part of his acoustic guitar is used: he taps out rhythm tracks while picking melodies on the strings. Combined with his smooth vocals and gift for melody, Jack’s live performances have been silencing awed rooms and festival crowds in his native Yorkshire for the last 6 months.

Watch out for Jack’s debut EP, ‘Euphoria Springs’, set for release in January.

‘Misty Central’ is available to purchase from iTunes, and Bandcamp. You can also stream it on Spotify.
