The duo from Italy, Schonwald, release their single and official video for ‘Lux’, a song taken off their upcoming album ‘Between Parallel Lights’ due out November 5th on Anywave/Manic Depression Records.

‘Lux’, a song inspired by the Latin meaning of the word, lights up the darkness, but its tone is a psychedelic gloom that is melodically dark with a strong influence of post punk and 80’s style music.

Schonwald consists of Alessandra Gismondo on vocals and bass and Luca Bandini on guitar, synths, and drum machines; together creating an atmospheric psychedelic swirl of dark melodies that have a hypnotically minimalist approach. ‘Lux’ has driving tribal rhythms that are layered by melancholic warped guitars, dark synth arrangements, and dream-echoed vocals. The single could be described as a psychedelic/shoegaze/post punk style song with a hint of 80’s synth music that compares to the sound of bands like New Order, Suicide, and The Horrors.
