Kissing Party – ‘looking back it was romantic but at the time i was suffocating’

Kissing party5

From Denver Colorado comes Kissing Party. There’s something really familiar and welcoming about them – think The Bluetones blended carefully with The Beautiful South – this group puts a US spin on a Brit sound and comes up with something really unique and earwormy.

Comprising Deirdre on Vocals, Gregg, also on Vocals, plus Guitar, Joe on Guitar, Lee on Bass and Shane on the Drums, Kissing Party have an immensely likeable sound and ‘looking back it was romantic but at the time i was suffocating’ is angsty and wry. At the forefront of the ‘Slop Pop’ movement, Kissing Party is the sound of debt, regret, heartbreak, hair dye & Pennsylvania.

Find Kissing Party on their website, Twitter, and Facebook. Their album, ”looking back it was romantic but at the time i was suffocating’ is the band’s second release on Denver’s Hot Congress Records, and is available on CD, Vinyl, and Cassette – with download via their Bandcamp store.
