The Winachi Tribe – ‘Plant The Seed’

Monkey 2The Winachi Tribe release a new single, ‘Plant The Seed’, the second off the bands Time For Love EP, along with a string of live performances, including Victorious Festival in Portsmouth and a show that will launch the EP at Manchester’s Ruby Lounge. The new single, ‘Plant The Seed’ is a blend of classic soul and funk put to a modern electronic groove and features the vocals of Julie E Gordon of Happy Mondays.

‘Plant The Seed’ has the same dance appeal and vintage electronic style as the first single release ‘Time For Love’.  The b-side off their new EP is an infectious dance groove that features a dark yet open sound and has a style that is similar to Massive Attack. The song is also featured in the new documentary ‘We Own The Dance Floor’ which tells the story of the Hacienda and was premiered at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
The Winachi tribe will be touring throughout the UK in October but also have a few exciting shows and festivals that are coming up soon. Here are some dates that are coming up:

PTSFINALsmallSince the debut single release of ‘Time For Love’ The Winachi Tribe have received outstanding praise.
“They are such a great band, they blew my head off when I first heard their music. They have so many angles, sort of a funk revolving door, they are definitely special in their own inimitable style.”
Danny Saber

“’The Time for Love’ EP will have you grooving and moving your feet. In a day and age when the top 40 is made up of ‘pop music by numbers’ the electro-funk groove which runs through these tracks is a beautiful remedy to the boredom. If the Winachi Tribe don’t restore your faith in creativity then nothing will.”
