Twenty year old singer/songwriter/producer Laurel is set to return with her new single ‘Blue Blood’, which is due  for release on 31st July.

Born in a small town somewhere between Southampton and Portsmouth, Laurel began performing at the age of 14 and has, so far, released two EPs, ‘To The Hills’ and ‘Holy Water’, both to high critical acclaim. Her hauntingly beautiful sound has gained her major airplay in the UK, including being added to the BBC Introducing Playlist.

To date, Laurel has sold over 10,000 singles, has had over 4 million plays on Spotify, over 2.5million plays on Soundcloud and over 2 million views on YouTube.

Speaking about her latest track ‘Blue Blood’, Laurel says:

“I wrote ‘Blue BloodÂ’ a couple of years ago in my tiny home studio in West London, what started as a rough demo uploaded on Soundcloud has formed into a song which I feel has shaped most of the music I am writing and producing today, as it was the first of its kind from my album. I was lucky enough to record a 24 piece string section at Angel Studios for this song with the amazing Rupert Christie, and have had the awesome Dani Castelar mix my final productions. I am so excited for this to finally be coming out in its final incarnation.”

Laurel is set to release her debut album within the next 12 months and has tour dates planned on both sides of the Atlantic.

‘Blue Blood’ by Laurel is due for release on 31st July on iTunes.
