Introducing: Lilliput

Lilliput1

Six-piece Sunderland band Lilliput are known for their strong harmonies and mesmerising live performances. Their latest single, ‘Waiting To Go’ (out on 17 July) is a toe-tapper of a song, with a great piano and drums lead in, gradually encompassing the remaining instruments. With a 70s feel to it, ‘Waiting to Go’ is complemented by a video which showcases their considerable talents even further – it was self-recorded, filmed and produced by the band at their flat.

Lilliput are Joseph Collins, Acoustic Guitar and lead vocals, sharing lead vocals with James Gilling, who also plays Electric Guitar; Jonathan Hibbert is on Electric Guitar as well. Joshua Hawick  plays Bass Guitar and contributes vocals, as does Jordan Miller, who ably handles the keyboards. Last but by no means least, Daniel Waterston – Drums and vocals. They’ve been together since 2011, and released their debut album, ‘Who Knows Where the Time Goes’, in 2013.

Lilliput will be performing at the following:

14th August – The Cluny, Newcastle supporting Hyde & Beast
15th August – Sebright Arms, London supporting Hyde & Beast
18th September – Teesside University, Middlesbrough supporting Cattle & Cane
You can find Lilliput online on Facebook, YouTube and Soundcloud.
