Ninsun Poli – The Islington 30/3/2015

We interviewed Swedish-born Assyrian singer Ninsun Poli recently and were privileged to catch her at London’s “The Islington” on Monday night.

Fresh from SXSW in Austin, Texas, Ms Poli was in Town to launch her new single, “Great Leap Forward”.

Ninsun gave a high energy performance, starting with the techno “Do It” (from her Breaking Rules EP), and leading into “Forever”.  The pace was set with more from Breaking Rules, including “Faces”, title track “Breaking Rules”, and the rocky and fast paced, “Hey Lover”.

Ninsun completed her set with the empowering and uplifting “Great Leap Forward”, which is due for release in the UK on 20 April.  A fantastic and intimate evening, Ms Poli and band gave it their all.
