HollySiz, better known as French actress Cécile Cassel, makes the transformation from actress to popstar, with the release of her EP, “Come Back To Me” on 15 December by Warner Music.

Second song and title track, “Come Back To Me” was released in June last year, and is a disco-infused dance track, strongly reflecting her musical influences, which include Debbie Harry and Madonna. The song has had over 2.3 million views on YouTube and was used for a French BMW ad campaign.

The remaining three songs, “Girl in the Corner”, “The Light”, and “Better Than Yesterday”, show the versatility of HollySiz. “Better Than Yesterday” is 80s pop, with a 60s music video, all hot pants and beach party. Her vocals are gorgeous, very reminiscent of Siobhan Fahey of Bananarama.

“The Light”, the fourth track on the album, is a song about acceptance. The video features a boy who goes against the grain of what is socially accepted. His mother understands, but his father is in turmoil over his son’s choices. Another song which illustrates the versatility of HollySiz.

HollySiz’s “My Name Is” was nominated for a Best Debut Album ‘Victoires de laMusique’ (the French equivalent to the Grammy Awards) in her native France, and has to date, sold over 50,000 copies. She played over 100 dates this year, including a sold out performance at Paris’ Olympia Theatre, making her France’s most booked female live act.

As actress Cécile Cassel, she has co-starred alongside Penelope Cruz, Charlize Theron and Shirley MacLaine, and is the face of Rocha’s couture luxury fragrance. She is signed to Next Modelling Agency, and divides her time between London and Paris. With her striking good looks, Cécile has graced many a magazine front cover, and has featured in Vogue, Elle, GQ and Grazia.

We hope to bring you an interview with HollySiz very soon – in the meantime, enjoy her videos! HollySiz’s album, “My Name Is” is available on iTunes.
